At Moneta Funded, we understand that traders may use multiple personal devices or trade from different locations. Our IP policy is designed to remain flexible for normal account access while protecting the integrity and ownership of every trading account.
Using Different IPs and Devices
You are free to:
Trade from different IP addresses as part of normal personal use
Use multiple personal devices
Switch between your home connection, mobile data, or another normal private connection
IP changes are completely normal and do not violate our rules.
However, we recommend avoiding free VPNs and public or shared VPS services. Another Moneta Funded trader may be assigned the same IP address, which could raise concerns that multiple trading accounts are being managed by the same person and may result in an account review.
VPN and VPS Eligibility by Country
VPN and VPS use is permitted only in the following countries:
China
Russia
Iran
Turkmenistan
Syria
These exceptions are provided because local internet restrictions may make it difficult to access the Moneta Funded website or trading platform through a normal connection.
For traders in all other countries, the use of a VPN or VPS to access or trade a Moneta Funded account is not permitted. Traders should use their normal private internet connection.
Private VPS Requirements
Where VPS use is permitted, the VPS must be for your exclusive personal use.
Do not use a public or shared VPS.
Do not share the VPS login, remote-desktop access, trading credentials, or account access with another person.
Do not use a VPS that is also being used by another Moneta Funded trader.
If another Moneta Funded trader is assigned the same VPS or IP address, the activity may appear as though multiple accounts are being managed by the same person. This may result in an account review.
Examples
Allowed example:
Personal VPS in an approved country
A trader in China is unable to reliably access MT5 through their normal connection. The trader rents a private VPS for their own exclusive use and personally operates only their own Moneta Funded account.
Why this is allowed:
China is one of the approved countries, and the VPS is private and used only by the registered trader.
Allowed example:
Normal IP and device changes
A trader uses home Wi-Fi on a laptop and later uses mobile data on their own phone. The IP address changes, but both devices and connections belong to the same trader.
Why this is allowed:
Natural IP changes and multiple personal devices do not violate the rules.
Not allowed example:
VPN or VPS from a non-approved country
A trader in Germany uses a VPN or VPS to hide or replace their normal connection when accessing the dashboard or trading platform.
Why this is not allowed:
VPN and VPS use is limited to China, Russia, Iran, Turkmenistan, Syria.
Not allowed example:
Shared VPS
A trader in China uses a public VPS that is also used by several other traders, including other Moneta Funded users.
Why this is not allowed:
Even in an approved country, a VPS must be private and used exclusively by the registered trader.
What We Monitor
Our primary concern is multiple accounts being used from the same IP address or trading environment in a way that may indicate account management, shared control, or access by multiple people.
Our team may review activity involving:
Multiple Moneta Funded users connecting through the same VPN or VPS IP
Public or shared VPS environments
VPN or VPS access from a country where it is not permitted
Unusual access patterns that suggest an account is being controlled by someone other than the registered trader
If clarification is needed, our team may contact the trader before determining the appropriate next step.
CID (Computer ID) Monitoring
In addition to IP addresses, we also monitor CID (Computer ID), a unique identifier tied to a specific device.
If multiple users or accounts are associated with the same CID, this may raise concerns related to:
Prohibited trading activity
Account management
KYC or identity-verification issues
