What Is the Payout Cap on Competition Prize Accounts?

Lifetime payout limits for accounts received as competition prizes.

Overview

Competition prize accounts are subject to a maximum total payout limit. The cap scales with the prize account size.

$5,000 PRIZE ACCOUNTS

$500

Maximum total payout per account.

$10,000 PHOENIX PRIZE ACCOUNTS

$1,000

Maximum total payout per account.

$20,000 PHOENIX PRIZE ACCOUNTS

$2,000

Maximum total payout per account.

$100,000 PRIZE ACCOUNTS

$2,000

Maximum total payout per account.

The payout cap scales with the prize account size: $500 for $5,000 accounts, $1,000 for $10,000 Phoenix accounts, and $2,000 for both $20,000 Phoenix and $100,000 accounts.

Is the Cap Per Payout?

No. The cap applies to the full lifetime of the prize account, not to each individual payout request.

For example, if a $5,000 competition prize account (with a $500 cap) receives a $300 payout and then a $200 payout, the full $500 lifetime cap has been reached.

The same lifetime-account principle applies at every account size — only the total cap amount changes, as shown above.

How Is the Cap Calculated?

The applicable cap is measured using total payouts from the prize account before profit split.

What Happens When the Cap Is Reached?

Once the account reaches its applicable maximum payout amount:

  • The prize account is closed.

  • No additional payouts are available from that same account.

  • The trader would need to win or receive another eligible free account, if applicable, or use the payout to purchase a regular non-free account.

Do Regular Purchased Accounts Have This Cap?

No. This free-account payout cap applies to competition prize accounts and other qualifying free accounts. A regular purchased account does not carry this cap.
