1-Step Challenge

Updated over a week ago

Moneta Funded’s 1-Step Challenge is a simplified evaluation program designed for traders who want to prove their skills through a single-phase assessment. Unlike traditional multi-phase challenges, this model focuses on reaching the required target within one phase while following all applicable trading rules and risk limits.

This challenge is ideal for traders who prefer a more direct path to funding while still demonstrating consistency and disciplined risk management.

Trading Objectives

To pass the 1-Step Challenge, traders must:

  • Achieve a 10% profit target on the account
    (for example, $10,000 on a $100,000 account)

  • Generate a minimum of 0.5% profit across at least 3 trading days

  • Follow all trading rules and risk limits

Once the 10% profit target has been reached and Phase 1 has been successfully completed, traders may request payouts of $100 or more every 14 days.

Challenge Fee Refund:
You are eligible to receive a full refund of your initial Challenge registration fee after successfully reaching your 4th payout on the same challenge account.

Account Violations

Daily Loss Limit

The maximum loss within any 24-hour period is 3% of your balance or equity, whichever is higher.

While the Daily Loss Limit is calculated based on your Balance or Equity, whichever is higher, a violation occurs if your Equity drops below the calculated Breach Level.

Example:

For a $100,000 account, a 3% Daily Loss Limit means the breach level would be $97,000.

Your Equity must not fall below $97,000 within a single day.

Maximum Loss Limit (Static)

The maximum cumulative loss across multiple trading days is 6% of balance or equity, whichever is higher.

While the loss limit is calculated based on your Balance or Equity, whichever is higher, a violation occurs if your Equity drops below the calculated Breach Level.

Please note that the maximum loss limit cannot be used within a single trading day. Exceeding this limit (including floating loss) will result in a hard breach of the account.

Example:

For a $100,000 account, your equity must not fall below $94,000 across all trading days.
